Children and young people’s wellbeing

Let’s tell you a bit about OUR VISION

The vision for the Act as One Children and Young People’s Wellbeing Programme is ‘Brighter futures for children and young people to thrive and achieve their potential’.

To achieve our vision, the Children and Young People’s Wellbeing Leadership Team have committed to work together as a whole system to promote, protect and improve children and young people’s mental wellbeing to enable them to thrive and lead full, happy and healthy lives.

We have established four priority work streams which build on local needs, local and national research, and the key areas that children and young people have told us are important to them. Our work streams:

  • Strengthening our approach to preventing crisis and ensuring children and young people receive timely, appropriate and coordinated crisis support
  • Improving access to support, to enable all children, young people, their parents and carers to receive the right support at the right time
  • Ensuring there is a range of high-quality support available which meets the needs of our local population
  • Developing information, campaigns and resources that promote good mental wellbeing, emotional resilience and self-care.

The voices of children and young people are at the heart of our programme and everything we do.
