Empowering change: Your role in building a fairer Bradford District & Craven
In Bradford District and Craven, there are many unfair differences in access to healthcare and life chances which impact a person’s quality of life. For example, inequalities in access to good housing, education, employment and healthcare exist depending on who you are and where you live. These inequalities are unfair and something that can be changed by working together.
This event will be a mix of speakers, workshops and group discussion to highlight different approaches to making our district fairer. Your colleagues will share practical ways you can play a role in this work.
The first part of the day will be opened by the Reducing Inequalities Alliance, including a panel discussion and guest speaker. The second part of the day will include a series of workshops around research, culture, health and communities, systems leadership, and equality, diversity and inclusion.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
Who is this event for?
This is a workforce event for colleagues working in organisations and networks across Bradford District and Craven with an interest in reducing inequalities (from statutory and community sectors). Due to limited spaces, at the moment we are asking organisations to put forward representatives so that we can open the event to as many organisations and people as possible
Registration
The event is in two parts and we recommend joining us for the full day. To do this you will need to register for both parts. If you are not able to join us for the full day you can either register for the morning (part 1) or afternoon (part 2).
Don’t forget to add the event to your calendar. If you have a question email ria@bradford.nhs.uk
