Talk of the village (learning from South Asian, Eastern European and African Caribbean communities)
Bradford District and Craven is a beautifully diverse community. However, with diversity comes inequality, particularly in mental health service outcomes. Bradford District and Craven Mind (formally known as Mind in Bradford) and Staying Put won a joint bid to deliver a range of mental health treatment and services for ethnically and culturally diverse communities across Bradford district and Craven. A contract which was awarded by NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board through the Bradford District and Craven Health and Care Partnership, further information about this can be found on the partnerships website.
Since winning the bid, Bradford District and Craven Mind and Staying Put have collaborated closely with South Asian, Roma, Black African, and Black Caribbean communities to understand their specific needs and identify ways to collectively address these issues.
