The countdown is on for the “Taking women’s health seriously” conference, a landmark event bringing together professionals, campaigners, and community voices to drive action on women’s health in Bradford District and Craven.
Organised by Bradford District and Craven Health and Care Partnership hosted by the University of Bradford, the event takes place on Thursday 27 February 2025.
With just a few places remaining, this is the last chance anyone passionate about improving women’s health to register for what promises to be an inspiring and action-driven day.
More than a conference – a movement for change
This conference is more than just a one-day event; it marks the launch of a movement to improve women’s health across the district. Through expert insights, powerful personal stories, and interactive discussions, the event will set the stage for long-term change.
Attendees will hear from expert speakers including Professor Kate Pickett, a leading voice on health inequalities, and Dr Anne Connolly MBE, a national champion for women’s healthcare. Betty Mukherjee, a Craven woman who came to fame after appearing on the BBC’s Race Across the World, will also take to the stage, sharing her personal experiences and highlighting the importance of breaking taboos around women’s health.
A range of interactive workshops will cover key issues including menopause, endometriosis, miscarriage, and neurodiversity. The event will culminate in the launch of a place-wide women’s health movement, encouraging individuals and organisations to pledge action towards better health outcomes for all women.
