The health and care partnership for Bradford District and Craven are coming to Keighley from 16-23 February as part of its latest ‘Listen in’ community event series.
The partnership’s board members, senior leaders from organisations such as Airedale Hospital and Bradford District Care Foundation Trust, are among those coming out to listen to local people, visit local groups and see first-hand the impact of the decisions they make about health and care services.
The Listen in team is out and about in Keighley, Ilkley and surrounding villages, going to places ranging from toddler groups to foodbanks, craft clubs to IT classes.
People will also have the chance to speak with them at Keighley Market Hall on 17, 18, 21 and 22 February to share their experiences of healthcare services and find out about local wellbeing support. The stall will be providing information about cost-of-living support and health services, as well as offering people healthy lifestyle advice from the Living Well team, blood pressure checks and support from social prescribers.
Elaine Appelbee, Chair of Bradford District and Craven Health and Care Partnership Board said: “I am thrilled we are coming to Keighley, Ilkley and the surrounding villages for our next ‘Listen In’ week. I know that Keighley folk will give us a warm welcome, but that they also won’t hold back from telling us what we need to know!
“As a leadership team we believe it is important to spend time with members of our communities and to hear from them directly about the impact our decisions make on their day to day lives. We don’t want to assume we know all the answers. Hearing from local people about their experience of health and care services will help us to improve our services to benefit communities across Bradford District and Craven.”
People are also encouraged to share views online by visiting https://engagebdc.com/listen-in-bdc where they can share ideas and take part in a quick poll about the health and care partnership’s priorities.
