Our Bradford District and Craven Health and Care Partnership Board

Our partnership board – which you may also see us refer to as our place-based partnership board in some of our documents – is a committee of the NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (ICB). As a committee of the NHS West Yorkshire ICB, we take on responsibility (this is referred to as delegated responsibility) for decision making on how local health and care services are planned and delivered. Our partnership board is representative of our joint working arrangements with members from the NHS, councils, care providers, and the voluntary, community and social enterprise sectors.

The work we do is guided by the wider NHS West Yorkshire ICB and the work we do across the West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership which is our integrated care system for West Yorkshire. Our guiding principles are to contribute to the four wider purposes of the West Yorkshire integrated care system:

  • improving population health and healthcare;
  • tackling unequal outcomes and access;
  • enhancing productivity and value for money; and
  • helping the NHS to support broader social and economic development.

The work of our partnership board is supported by three committees: finance and performance committee, people committee, and the quality committee. In addition we have a clinical forum and a citizen forum to support our decision making by bringing the voice of our health and care professionals and our communities to our partnership board.

Our decision making for the Bradford District and Craven Health and Care Partnership Board is also influenced by local arrangements such as through the Wellbeing Board for Bradford District and the Health and Wellbeing Board for North Yorkshire.
