People will have the opportunity to come along to access a free heart health check with a range of NHS providers and heart charities.
On Wednesday 1 February, the bus will be available outside the Kirkgate Centre 10am-3.30pm and on Thursday 2 February the bus will be parked on the Church Green, Keighley 10am-3.30pm, the team will be there to welcome you to a free heart check.
You should come and see the team if you recently have noticed that you are experiencing any of these symptoms; difficulty climbing the stairs and becoming short of breath, feeling more tired than normal, swelling in your legs, palpitations and dizziness.
People will fill in a simple questionnaire, be offered a finger prick test (if needed) courtesy of LumiraDx and have your heartbeat heard by a qualified Specialist Heart Nurse, Doctor and Health Support Worker. These simple things can indicate how healthy your heart is. The team will be available to talk through what your results mean and advise if future support is required from your local GP.
Two Charities Pumping Marvellous and Heart Valve Voices will also be available to offer support, information and guidance on next steps and how to maintain your health.
