City of Research
Bradford has some of the highest rates of ill health in the country and research is crucial to tackling this
15 years ago there was little research happening locally, so the NHS across Bradford and Airedale, with the local authority, schools and University of Bradford came together and built the City of Research.
There is a national patient safety centre working out the best ways to protect patients, a national clinical trials unit giving patients access to the most exciting and innovative treatments available, as well as the Born in Bradford project, one of the worlds greatest medical research studies.
Health research improves the quality of all our lives. Without your support and involvement we can’t run the studies or trials that are so important. You might only need to give up a small amount of your time to help the research have a big impact. Join the City of Research registry.
