Bradford District and Craven Health and Care Partnership will hold its Partnership Board meeting in public at Scorex House in central Bradford on Friday 14 November at 10.30am – 1pm.
The Partnership Board is the key decision-making body for health and care in Bradford District and Craven, and their meeting will hear feedback from the local communities gathered during the recent ‘Listen in’ events. This is one of the ways that the partnership makes sure that the decisions they take about health and care services reflect people’s needs.
In the summer, the ‘Listen in’ team focused on listening to the voices of White British men from working class backgrounds – voices that we found are often not heard in previous engagement activity. The team visited community groups and local people across Bradford district and Craven to understand what matters most to them. They visited places ranging from local barbers, Royds Business Park, a rugby game and Wetherspoons.
The feedback from the ‘Listen in’ cycle will be presented and discussed in the Partnership Board meeting. The Board will receive reports from its committees, including a Healthwatch report focussing on Craven, finance and planning reports and an update from place lead Therese Pattern. “In this latest cycle, it was a real privilege to sit down with working-class White British men from across Bradford District and Craven. They’re a group we don’t always hear from, and taking the time to listen to their stories has helped us better understand the barriers they face and what we can do to make access to health care fairer for everyone.
