Update: Partnership Board meeting cancelled Friday 13 February
Due to the Met Office weather warning for snow and in the interests of safety for attendees, partners and staff, the Bradford District and Craven Health and Care Partnership has taken the decision to stand down the Partnership Board meeting that was due to take place in public in Skipton on Friday 13 February.
We recognise the importance of this meeting, which was due to mark the final formal Partnership Board chaired by Elaine Appelbee and to receive the latest report from the Listen In programme. We are currently considering options to ensure this important business is concluded appropriately and will provide a further update as soon as arrangements are confirmed.
We remain committed to transparency and public accountability. Anyone who has already submitted a public question will receive a response, and further information will be shared via Engage Bradford District and Craven and partnership channels.
Thank you for your understanding.
Bradford District and Craven Health and Care Partnership will hold its next Partnership Board meeting in public on Friday 13 February 2026, 10.30am to 1pm, Belle Vue Suite, Skipton, BD23 1FJ.
This meeting will mark the final formal Partnership Board for Elaine Appelbee, who is stepping down from her role as Chair.
As part of the meeting, the Board will receive and reflect on a new report from the Partnership’s Listen In programme, which brings together insights and impacts from three years of listening with communities across Bradford District and Craven. The report sets out what people consistently tell us about their experience of health and care, and how that insight has been used alongside other evidence to shape decisions and action across the system
Elaine has been a strong and consistent champion of the Listen In approach, embedding continual listening with communities as a core part of how the Partnership works. Her leadership has helped ensure that lived experience, relationships and trust sit at the heart of partnership decision-making.
Elaine has chaired the Partnership Board through a period of significant challenge and change, helping to shape a strong culture of collaboration across health, care, local government and the voluntary and community sector. Her time as chair has been characterised by warmth, inclusivity, and generosity of spirit, and she has played a central role in shaping and sustaining the Partnership’s ‘Act as One’ ethos.
Matt Sandford, Director of Partnership and Place for Bradford District and Craven, said:
“Elaine has led this Partnership with care, integrity and a deep commitment to listening. She has consistently created space for different voices to be heard and valued, and has helped build a culture where relationships, trust and shared purpose really matter. On behalf of partners across Bradford District and Craven, I want to thank Elaine for her leadership and the lasting impact she has made.”
As with all Partnership Board meetings, members of the public are invited to submit questions in advance via engageBDC.com Partnership Board | Engage Bradford District & Craven
All public questions are noted in the meeting and full written responses posted on the website, as part of the partnership’s commitment to transparency and public accountability.
